About Taurus G3C

The Taurus company was founded in 1982 as the Taurus Holdings, Inc. which is a Florida based holding company which, in turn, owns several companies responsible for some of the most robust firearms brands in the United States. The Taurus produced it’s absolutely the first revolver in 1941. In 1970, Bangor Punta, that owned the Smith & Wesson, purchased a controlling interest in the Forjas Taurus company.

The Taurus G3c is a recoil-operated, double-action, semi-automatic pistol. Even though the pistol was first introduced only in 2020, it’s already become one of the most popular models ever produced by the Brazilian manufacturer. Just like some of its main competitors such as SIG Sauer’s P365 or the Glock 43x, the G3c keeps finding itself on nearly every list of the best modern concealed carry handguns.

The Taurus G3c is a micro-compact version of its “bigger brother”, the Taurus G3. At the same time, the G3c is a slightly upgraded version of Taurus’ previous concealed carry flagship, the Taurus G2c. The G3c model comes with an overall length of 6.3 inches, with the pistol’s barrel being mere 3.2 inches long. The pistol’s height is 5.1 inches and the gun’s width is 1.2 inches. When unloaded, the Taurus G3c weighs 22 oz., which in combination with size makes the G3c an ideal handgun for everyday concealed carry.

Even though the pistol is quite tiny, the Taurus G3c still offers an incredible capacity of 12+1 rounds. Such high capacity is achieved through a double stack magazine, which relies on the use of the popular 9x19mm Parabellum cartridge. As the Taurus G3c is a striker-fired pistol, one can expect it’s almost fully made of polymer.

The Taurus G3c comes with a 3-dot fixed sights system, but as it also boasts an accessory rail, you can attach various tactical lights and lasers to the pistol’s frame. In case you do that, however, don’t forget to get yourself a well fitting Taurus G3c light-bearing holster. If you get yourself a red dot adapter, you can also attach a red dot or RMR sight to your pistol, but if you do so, you’ll also need a solid Taurus G3c red dot holster.

Just like mentioned above, due to its dimensions, the Taurus G3c is an ideal choice for everyday concealed carry. If that’s the purpose for which you’d like to use your pistol, then you’ll need one of these Taurus G3c inside the waistband holsters or perhaps a G3c appendix holster. However, the pistol works just fine even when carried OWB or cross-draw style.

If you like this excellent G3c pistol, but you still haven’t got one, you can get your own at Taurus’ official website. In case you want to stay up-to-date as far as the world of Taurus firearms goes, you can check out Taurus Wikipedia page or follow one of these forums - Taurus Armed or Handgun Forum.
