About Taurus PT 24/7 Pro C Ds
The Taurus company was founded in 1982 as the Taurus Holdings, Inc. which is a Florida based holding company which, in turn, owns several companies responsible for some of the most robust firearms brands in the United States. The Taurus produced it’s absolutely the first revolver in 1941. In 1970, Bangor Punta, that owned the Smith & Wesson, purchased a controlling interest in the Forjas Taurus company.
The Taurus 6PT 24/7 Pro C Ds is a double stack pistol made by Taurus. This pistol is equipped with the 3.625-inch barrel with rubber grips and features an injection molded polymer frame that comes with a frame-mounted manual safety lever. The Taurus 6PT 24/7 Pro C Ds comes with several unique features such as visible or tactile loaded chamber indicator and a dust cover Picatinny accessory rail.
The Taurus 6PT 24/7 Pro C Ds model is a 10-round, 3.625” barreled pistol that relies on the use of the .45 auto cartridge. The 45 Automatic is the most powerful military handgun cartridge in use today. This is a heavy and powerful subsonic round. Although its muzzle energy can exceed 400 ft-lbs, its velocity and bullet weight creates a steep trajectory curve that limits its effective range to self-defense distances.
