About Taurus PT 111 Millennium Pro
The Taurus company was founded in 1982 as the Taurus Holdings, Inc. which is a Florida based holding company which, in turn, owns several companies responsible for some of the most robust firearms brands in the United States. The Taurus produced it’s absolutely the first revolver in 1941. In 1970, Bangor Punta, that owned the Smith & Wesson, purchased a controlling interest in the Forjas Taurus company.
The Taurus Millennium Pro PT-111 is a striker-fired, double/single-action, semi automatic pistol developed by Forjas Taurus, the most popular Brazilian firearms manufacturer. The Millennium Pro PT111 was first introduced back in 2003 and even though the pistol’s production ceased in 2012, it’s still quite a popular handgun when it comes to everyday concealed carry. The Taurus Millennium PT-111 PRO is a micro-compact handgun with an overall length of 6.125 inches and a 3.25 inches long barrel.
The pistol comes with a double-stack magazine which can be loaded with up to 12 rounds of the popular 9x19mm Parabellum cartridge. The Taurus PT111 Millennium PRO also features a 3-dot fixed sights system and rear slide serrations. Just like most striker-fired pistols, the Taurus Millennium Pro PT111 is also almost fully made of polymer. Due to its size, the Millennium Pro PT-111 is a handgun ideal for self-defense as well as home-defense.
