Holsters for Glock 29
How to choose the best holster for your Glock 29
Finding the best Glock 29 holster means understanding your carry preferences and ensuring compatibility with your firearm. The Glock 29 is a compact powerhouse chambered in 10mm, making it a favorite for both everyday carry and outdoor use. A proper fit is essential, especially for models like the Glock 29 Gen 5. Whether you need a Glock 29 10mm holster for daily wear or something specific like a Glock 29 holster with light, the right choice enhances comfort, draw speed, and retention.
Material matters, too. A well-made Glock 29 leather holster offers classic styling and a snug fit, while Kydex options provide rigid support and easy maintenance. Consider your daily routine and whether you’ll carry inside the waistband, outside, on your chest, or under your arm.
Best Glock 29 IWB Holster
IWB Holster w Steel Clip – $89. This leather holster can be carried both IWB and appendix style, offering flexibility in how you choose to carry your Glock 29. The steel clip design is perfect for those who dislike removing their belt when attaching or detaching the holster. It also features a reinforced thumb break strap, adding extra durability and increasing the holster’s natural retention, making it a highly secure option.
Best Glock 29 OWB Holster
Open Top Belt Holster – $89. The Open Top Belt Holster is an excellent choice for those seeking easy access and a quick draw. Its pancake design provides a slim, low-profile fit, ensuring that your Glock 29 remains concealed even in an OWB carry position. This holster is not only practical but also extremely comfortable for daily wear.
Best Glock 29 Shoulder Holster

This leather shoulder system allows you to carry your gun in a horizontal position, secured with a thumb break strap for added safety. The system includes a double ammo holder and tie-down straps that attach to your belt, offering excellent balance and security. As a bonus, the holster can also be used as a regular belt holster, giving you two carry options in one.
Carry Options for Glock 29 holsters
Concealed Carry
The Glock 29's compact frame makes it ideal for concealed carry. Choosing the right Glock 29 concealed carry holster is all about balancing accessibility and discretion. Slim-profile holsters reduce printing and enhance comfort, especially during long wear.
IWB Holsters
A Glock 29 holster IWB provides secure inside-the-waistband carry that hugs close to the body. This option is a go-to for those who prioritize concealment without sacrificing access. Many Glock 29 holsters are molded to the specific dimensions of the firearm, including the Glock 29 Gen 5, for a precise and reliable fit.
OWB Holsters
Glock 29 holster OWB models offer outside-the-waistband comfort and ease of draw. These are ideal for open carry or range use. Whether you're carrying a standard or Glock 29 Gen 5, retention and cant angle are key to a confident carry setup.
Shoulder Holsters
A Glock 29 shoulder holster is a solid option for balanced weight distribution and deep concealment under jackets. This carry method suits those who spend long hours seated or driving, offering a comfortable alternative to waistband methods.
Chest Holsters
For hikers and hunters, a Glock 29 chest holster offers quick access and better support during active movement. Chest rigs distribute the firearm’s weight across your torso, reducing waistband bulk and increasing draw reliability in outdoor environments.
Holsters with Light
If you use a weapon-mounted light, you'll need a Glock 29 holster with light compatibility. These holsters are crafted with extra clearance and secure locking for lights like the TLR-6, Surefire X300, or even the popular TLR-7. If you're specifically using the TLR-7, look for a Glock 29 TLR 7 holster that ensures both proper fit and reliable retention. Always make sure the light and holster are designed to work together without compromising draw speed or security.
Appendix holsters
A Glock 29 appendix holster allows fast, front-of-body access and improved concealment under untucked shirts. Appendix carry appeals to users who prioritize rapid draw and compact design. Ensure the holster includes proper trigger guard coverage and adjustability.
Pocket Holsters
While less common for larger firearms, a Glock 29 pocket holster may suit oversized jacket pockets or bags. These holsters prevent printing, shield the trigger, and keep the gun upright for safer access in non-traditional carry setups.

Well crafted holster that fit without much break in. Looks good, feels good, and works well. Took a bit to figure out how to position best for my body style but I did. Am happy with it.
Eric
Fit my Glock 29 perfectly right out of the box, no need to prep the holster. Very comfortable and balanced with the double mag holder. I wear it without fixing it to my belt and it carries fine. Draw is snug, but not difficult. I imagine with some break-in it will smoothen out. Very pleased.
