The holster rides higher on the belt and has an elastic strip of cloth at the base of the trigger guard to allow a fast draw. The holster is designed for pistols nad revolvers as well and covers the trigger and the hammer. It's thermo molded to offer a perfect fit and has durable stitching, which is reinforced in key points of draw. The holster rides close to the body and doesn't print on the clothing. The holster is available for right or left handed shooters and has a 2 year warranty. The holster is designed to fit a 1.5'' belt.

My 1911 is my favorite gun but it's like carrying around a boat anchor. Constantly having to pull up my britches and always knowing it's there, so I purchased this holster for my 357 SP101 which is a considerably lighter weapon to carry. This holster is lightweight and my gun fits nice and snug with no slippage. Not much chance of the gun coming out of the holster on it's own when you're in precarious situations. It's unintrusive to wear and I forget I'm wearing it half the time. It's made with great craftsmanship. I would recommend this holster to anyone. Reply

I don't love the high ride holster. It is very difficult to reholster the gun. The opening is to narrow and tight. The leather is beautiful and the gun rides nicely in the holster but reholstering is difficult. Sorry. Reply
I really love the quality of the leather and craftsmanship. It is going to be my primary holster for my Smith and Wesson Model 13 revolver. This was my grandfathers forest carry piece and I also carry it while camping. Call it a family tradition. My ONLY gripe is that after following the break-in instructions, it is still hard to holster the revolver one handed. Part of this is because I am small and the radius of my hip isn't much. It puts a slight pinch on the holster, making it hard to holster without lifting the holster with my other hand to relieve pressure. This can be done safely and my off-hand never crosses the tube. For what I use this gun for, this isn't a problem. The draw from the holster is beautiful, so it serves the primary function of getting the gun into my hand quickly if threatened. The high rise is great for horseback. I personally cant stand the overt nature of a cross draw holster for this large of a revolver. I have the dexterity to draw this from horseback but not everyone may have that flexibility. I wouldn't try to use this holster for cowboy mounted shooting, as it may be hard to reholster on the turn one-handed to swap weapons. This, again, isn't a problem for me because my Model 13 is a .357 and not a .45, which is used for most cowboy competitions. Reply

The high ride holdster is perfect for my kimber k6s. It is easily conceled due to how high and tight it sits on my side and belt. I would strongly suggest this type of holster to my friends. I even put my light weight S&W J frame 340 PD in and it is so light I can barely tell its there. I can tell that the k6s wants to lean out away from my side if my belt isn't tight enough. Not a problem, I just noticed it after carrying my very light 340 pd. I appreciate the quality workmanship and style of the craft holsters. So much in have a 2 position OWB ordered for my S&W 686 plus. Reply
