Holsters for Glock 19X

All Glock 19X Holsters

How to choose the best holster for your Glock 19X

Start by matching your holster to the unique frame of the Glock 19X. This crossover pistol blends a full-size grip with a compact slide, so finding a holster for Glock 19X means prioritizing stability and concealment. Consider retention features, draw angle, and comfort for extended wear. If you use optics or a weapon light, ensure your holster supports your setup. The best holster for Glock 19X combines security, fast access, and compatibility with your preferred carry method.

Best Glock 19X IWB Holster

IWB Holster w Steel Clip – $89. This leather holster can be carried both IWB and appendix style, offering flexibility in how you choose to carry your Glock 19X. The steel clip design is perfect for those who dislike removing their belt when attaching or detaching the holster. It also features a reinforced thumb break strap, adding extra durability and increasing the holster’s natural retention, making it a highly secure option.

Best OWB Glock 19X Holster

Open Top Belt Holster – $89.  The Open Top Belt Holster is an excellent choice for those seeking easy access and a quick draw. Its pancake design provides a slim, low-profile fit, ensuring that your Glock 19X remains concealed even in an OWB carry position. This holster is not only practical but also extremely comfortable for daily wear.

Best Shoulder Holster Glock 19X

Shoulder Holster System – $215. For shoulder holster fans, the Shoulder Holster System is the best option for the Glock 19X. This leather shoulder system allows you to carry your gun in a horizontal position, secured with a thumb break strap for added safety. The system includes a double ammo holder and tie-down straps that attach to your belt, offering excellent balance and security. As a bonus, the holster can also be used as a regular belt holster, giving you two carry options in one.

Carry Options for Glock 19X holsters

Concealed Carry

Concealing a Glock 19X requires careful holster selection due to its full-size grip. A Glock 19X concealed carry holster should reduce printing, improve comfort, and allow a fast, clean draw. Many opt for minimalist designs or holsters with integrated claws to tuck the grip inward.

IWB Holsters

Inside-the-waistband holsters balance concealment and access. A Glock 19X holster IWB rides snugly inside the waistband, typically with adjustable cant and retention. This carry style favors everyday use and supports deep concealment when paired with a tucked shirt or jacket.

OWB Holsters

Outside-the-waistband holsters offer better weight distribution and faster draw. A Glock 19X holster OWB works well for open carry or concealed carry under a longer garment. Look for paddle or belt loop options with secure retention to keep your firearm steady.

Shoulder Holsters

A Glock 19X shoulder holster distributes weight across your torso, making it ideal for long periods of seated wear or colder climates. This setup offers vertical or horizontal draw options and leaves the waistline clear for other gear.

Appendix Holsters

Appendix carry keeps the firearm centered and accessible. A Glock 19X appendix holster rides up front, allowing for a quick, natural draw. Look for low-profile designs with sweat guards and adjustable ride height for comfort and concealment.

Drop leg holsters

Drop leg carry positions the firearm on the thigh, ideal for tactical use or range days. A Glock 19X drop leg holster secures to the thigh and belt, offering fast access without interfering with your torso gear.

Chest holsters

For outdoor use or high-mobility activities, a Glock 19X chest holster provides stable carry and easy access. This setup keeps the firearm off the waist and legs, perfect for hiking, hunting, or off-road riding.

Car Holsters

A Glock 19X car holster offers a secure and easily accessible carry option while driving. Whether mounted under the dashboard, on the seat, or attached to the console, it keeps your pistol steady and within quick reach. It’s ideal for drivers who want both comfort and readiness during travel without compromising firearm safety.

Left Handed Holsters

A Glock 19X left handed holster is specifically molded for left-hand draw, ensuring a natural grip and smooth presentation every time. Available in multiple carry styles — IWB, OWB, or shoulder — it provides the same retention, comfort, and precision fit as right-handed versions, making it a perfect match for left-handed shooters.

Duty Holsters

A Glock 19X duty holster is built for professionals who need dependable retention and all-day comfort. Designed for open carry on a duty belt, it provides quick draw access while keeping your firearm secure during movement. You can choose between a Level 3 holster or a Level 2 holster, depending on your preferred retention strength and operational needs.

Paddle Holsters

A Glock 19X paddle holster is one of the most versatile OWB options for everyday or range use. Its paddle backing slides securely inside the waistband or over the belt without needing to undo your gear, making it ideal for quick setup and removal. With excellent stability, solid retention, and all-day comfort, it’s a practical choice for both law enforcement and civilian carriers who value convenience and reliability.

Holsters with light

Carrying a light-equipped pistol requires a compatible holster. A Glock 19X holster with light ensures your setup fits without sacrificing retention. Choose a design molded for your specific light model to maintain safe and secure carry.

The TLR family demands precise fit — a Glock 19x TLR7a holster needs a snug cut for the TLR-7A’s low profile to ensure reliable activation and zero rotation, while a Glock 19x TLR7 holster is shaped slightly differently to accommodate the TLR-7’s footprint without adding bulk. For larger, duty-grade lamps a Glock 19x TLR 1 HL holster provides the extra cavity and reinforced muzzle coverage necessary to protect the head and the switch under heavy use, likewise, a Glock 19x Surefire X300 holster uses a beefier shell and stronger retention to manage the wider head and extra weight of SureFire lights.

Compact combos prioritize slimness and switch access: a Glock 19x holster with Olight Baldr Mini keeps the profile low while preserving positive activation, whereas a Glock 19x Olight Baldr S holster requires subtle shaping around controls to prevent accidental activation and stop movement. Across all setups, choose holsters built for the exact light—or a proven multi-fit shell—to avoid poor activation, wobble, or reduced retention when drawing.

Material options for glock 19X holsters

Glock 19X Leather Holsters

Leather holsters offer excellent comfort and durability, molding to your body and firearm over time for a snug, glove-like fit. Made from premium full‑grain or Italian leather, they provide natural retention and protection while softening with use—often becoming comfier than synthetic options.

Glock 19X Kydex Holsters

Kydex holsters are ultra‑lightweight and rigid, offering precise, custom molding that securely retains your firearm—even under demanding conditions—without needing a break‑in period.

Glock 19X Nylon Holsters

Nylon holsters are lightweight and cost-effective, made from durable, breathable materials like ballistic or Cordura nylon, making them ideal for concealed carry without adding bulk.

Will a Glock 19X fit in a Glock 19 holster?

No. The Glock 19X uses the full-size (G17-length) frame, so most Glock 19 holsters — molded for the shorter G19 grip — will not cover the 19X grip properly or will bind during insertion. Don’t assume a G19 shell will retain the trigger guard correctly.

Will a Glock 19X fit in a Glock 17 holster?

Usually yes. The 19X frame length and geometry are effectively the same as a G17, so most Glock 17 holsters will accept a 19X and provide proper trigger-guard fit and retention. Caveat: slide/frame finish, accessory cuts (lights/optics), and ambidextrous controls can change fit — if the holster is a tight, model-specific Kydex mold, verify that the maker lists 19X compatibility or test before duty carry.

Summary

Choose a Glock 19X holster that matches your intended carry method—IWB, OWB, paddle, or duty—and prioritizes correct trigger-guard engagement, consistent retention, and a clean draw path. If you frequently mount a weapon light or red-dot, opt for a model-specific shell or a proven multi-fit design rather than relying on a generic mold; slides, optics plates, and light footprints change fit more than people expect. For users who prefer the full-length G17 frame geometry, a Glock 19x GEN 5 holster often provides the best baseline fit, but finish, controls, and aftermarket stippling can still require a compatibility check.

I ordered my holster on August 8, 2025. Estimated arrival date was September 24. Low and behold it arrived on September 4. Twenty day sooner that expected. What a pleasant surprise. Of course after taking the holster out of the packaging (which was five star in its own right) I did the normal looking it over. I could not find one blemish, not one missed stich, not one color tint blemish, not anything that was not up to a five star rating. I just could not find anything wrong with it. It fit perfect, It feels and looks great. Ok, I'm hooked. I have found a new leather holster store. Thanks for everything. You not only produced a product that matched your advertisement but your craftsmen went far above the norm on this one.

I purchased this style holster for my 686 S&W revolver back in November and was greatly satisfied. I recently purchased the same style for my Glock 19X and again 100% satisfied. The holster fit like a glove with only a slight working of the leather. The steel clip is is extremely strong but IMO that is exactly what you want. I highly recommend this IWB holster.
