About Glock 19 X
Glock Ges.m.b.H., trademarked as Glock is one of the most famous and successful firearm producer, well known all over the world. Engineer Gaston Glock, company's founder who had no experience with firearms manufacture or design, became one of the most successful firearms designer of all times. Glock had extensive experience in advanced synthetic polymers, knowledge of which was very important in the company's design of the first commercially successful line of polymer frame pistols.
The Glock 19x is a striker-fired, recoil-operated, single-action only, semi automatic pistol first introduced by the famous Austrian firearms manufacturer back in 2017. Just like its name suggests, this model belongs to the Glock 19 branch of pistols. However, Glock likes to call the Glock 19X a crossover model as it combines features of its most popular field-tested platforms - the Glock 19 and Glock 17. The final result of such a combination is a pistol that comes with the frame of the full-sized Glock 17 and the compact slide of the Glock 19.
The Glock 19 X is a full-sized handgun with an overall length of 7.44 inches. Just like the standard Glock 19, the barrel of the X model is 4.02 inches long. The pistol is 5.47 inches high and its width is 1.3 inches. When unloaded, the Glock 19X weighs some 24.8 ounces. These specs aren’t really ideal for deep concealed carry, but that’s not what the pistol was intended for anyway. The Glock 19X was actually developed for military use, which is why it boasts features such as no finger grooves, flared magwell, ambidextrous slide stop levers and lanyard loop. This model also comes with the Glock's Marksman Barrel and includes a custom factory Coyote tan finish. Just like most other Glock pistols, the 19X model also relies on the use of the popular 9x19mm Parabellum cartridge, of which the pistol’s double stack magazine takes in 17+1 rounds.
As it’s a Glock model, there’s a vast array of aftermarket products available. Even though the Glock 19X is equipped with a reliable 3-dot fixed night sights system, you can still check out this list of the best night sights for Glock pistols as there are more powerful night sights available. By default, the G19X comes with grips made for integrated polymer, however, there’s also a lot of alternative Glock grips out there. Last but not least, you can always boost the accuracy and target acquisition of your Glock if you get yourself one of these Glock 19 tactical lights and lasers, which will also fit your X model. There’s just one thing you can’t forget about if you get a new tac light - get yourself a proper light-bearing Glock 19 X holster.
When it comes to selecting the best Glock 19 X holster, you first need to figure out how you’d like to carry the pistol. Even though it’s much bigger than some of the most popular carry guns, it can still be used for concealed carry as long as you pair it up with a well made Glock 19X IWB or appendix holster. But if you decide to carry the pistol the way it’s intended (outside the waistband), check out these Glock 19X OWB or cross-draw holsters. Another great way to carry your pistol is in a custom made Glock 19 X shoulder holster. By the way, if you carry a red dot sight attached to your Glock, don’t forget to pair it up with a Glock 19 X red dot holster.

What Makes a Great IWB Glock 19 X Holster
A perfect Glock 19X IWB holster holds your firearm without the need of a retention strap. The natural retention of each material takes care of it and you can even hold the scabbard upside down without the firearm falling of. Or you can rely on the retention strap which can have several levels of retention. Another treat of a great Glock 19X IWB gunholster are smooth edges on the outside. This way the holster stays protected from abrasions, scratches or any other intrusive surfaces that it may stumble upon. A perfect finish of a Glock 19X holster is another feature. A finished holster keeps dust, moisture and water away. Taking care of your holster is a important thing and there are many options including break-in or adjustment.
