About Glock 27
Glock Ges.m.b.H., trademarked as Glock is one of the most famous and successful firearm producer, well known all over the world. Engineer Gaston Glock, company's founder who had no experience with firearms manufacture or design, became one of the most successful firearms designer of all times. Glock had extensive experience in advanced synthetic polymers, knowledge of which was very important in the company's design of the first commercially successful line of polymer frame pistols.
The Glock 27 is a short recoil operated, semi-automatic pistol, chambered with .40 ammunition. The Glock 27 holds less than average pistols of the same caliber and its maximum magazine capacity is 9 rounds. The frame of the model G27 is similar to frames of the another Glock gun models. It’s made of polymer and has typical Glock appearance. This gun model is common as a sidearm of even as a service pistol among many law enforcement agencies and military organizations worldwide. However it is a striker-fired pistol, the Glock Model 27 uses a single-action trigger. The trigger does not cock the pistol, when pulled it only releases the striker. Cocking of the striker is performed by retracting slide. This gun model is equipped with no manual safety device and the trigger is even the only operating element of this gun.
