Holsters for Glock 21
How to choose the best holster for your Glock 21
Selecting the right holster for your Glock 21 means balancing comfort, security, and access. Whether you're carrying a Glock 21 Gen 4 or Glock 21 Gen 5, the holster must offer secure retention and smooth draw. Consider whether you need a Glock 21 holster with light attachment or a minimal setup for concealed carry. Materials like Kydex and leather offer different pros: Kydex provides rigidity and faster draw, while leather molds to your body over time. If you're running a weapon light, look for a Glock 21 Gen 5 holster with light compatibility. For standard builds, ensure the holster matches your generation—a Glock 21 Gen 4 holster may have slight fit differences from Gen 5 models. Use-case matters: a Glock 21 duty holster differs in retention level and accessibility from a Glock 21 concealed holster.

Carry Options for Glock 21 holsters
Concealed Carry
Carrying the Glock 21 concealed requires a careful and thoughtful holster selection due to its full-size frame. A Glock 21 concealed carry holster should minimize printing while offering stability throughout the day and across activities. Most popular options include IWB, appendix, and shoulder styles, each catering to different body types and concealment carry style preferences.
IWB Holsters
A Glock 21 IWB holster offers a secure, close-to-body carry method ideal for concealed use. It's favored for its balance of concealment and access. When choosing an IWB option, look for adjustable cant and ride height. This setup works well under casual clothing and supports both Gen 4 and Gen 5 models.
OWB Holsters
An OWB holster gives better comfort during long wear hours while still being concealment-capable with a jacket or overshirt. A Glock 21 holster OWB allows fast access and is ideal for range use or open carry. While bulkier than IWB, some paddle and belt-loop options ride high enough to be as discreet as many other holster styles.
Shoulder Holsters
A shoulder holster for Glock 21 offers a practical alternative for those sitting or driving for extended periods. The horizontal draw allows quick access, and weight is evenly distributed. A shoulder holster Glock 21 users prefer typically features adjustable straps and dual magazine pouches. It's a reliable choice for winter carry under jackets.
Chest Holsters
For outdoor or backcountry carry, a Glock 21 chest holster provides hands-free access and excellent comfort during movement. It secures the firearm across your torso, making it ideal for hiking, ATV riding, fishing or other outdoor activities. Chest rigs are also often modular and adaptable to include light-bearing pistols.
Duty holsters
A Glock 21 duty holster prioritizes security with level II or level III retention systems. Designed especially for law enforcement and professional use, these holsters are built tough and offer excellent durability and in field performance. Look for options compatible with Glock 21 Gen 5 models, including setups that can accomodate lights and optics.
Drop leg holsters
Drop leg holsters distribute weight to the thigh, offering fast access in tactical settings. A Glock 21 drop leg holster is ideal for range days, training, or open carry scenarios. Make sure it offers adjustable straps, a secure nad tight fit, and optional light-bearing configurations.
Paddle holsters
A Glock 21 paddle holster combines convenience with secure attachment. It's easy to put on and remove without undoing your belt, making it a favorite for casual range trips or quick carry. Look for a firm paddle design with proper retention and sweat guard.
Appendix holsters
Appendix carry offers discreet and quick access when done right. A Glock 21 appendix holster must balance comfort with concealment, considering the firearm's size. Adjustable ride height and minimal profile are key for effective appendix carry with this full-size pistol.
Left Handed Holsters
A dedicated Glock 21 left handed holster provides a true mirror-image fit for left-handed carriers. Molded precisely to the contours of the G21, it guarantees proper retention, a natural draw angle, and safe reholstering. Whether for everyday carry, duty use, or range sessions, it delivers comfort and reliability tailored to left-handed shooters.
Holsters with Light
Running a weapon light like a Streamlight or SureFire on your Glock 21 changes the holster game. A Glock 21 holster with light must be custom-molded to accommodate both the firearm and attachment without sacrificing retention. Glock 21 Gen 5 holster with light designs ensure compatibility and fast draw, even with added bulk.
For those running a weapon-mounted light, choosing a holster molded for your exact setup is crucial. Options like a Glock 21 TLR 1 holster or a Glock 21 X300 holster ensure proper retention and a balanced fit for the pistol-and-light combination. These models provide secure lock-up, smooth draws, and dependable performance in low-light or duty-oriented environments.

A Glock 21 holster with light and red dot is designed to handle the extra bulk of both attachments while keeping your draw smooth and consistent. These holsters are custom-molded around the pistol, optic, and light, ensuring secure retention and proper clearance for the red dot. It’s an ideal setup for shooters who rely on upgraded visibility and fast target acquisition in any lighting condition.

Only just received my should holster rig 07/01/24. So at this point I can say it seems to be made with some NICE leather looks great as for fit and break in, the holster is a tight fit still working for a smoother draw, as for the holster security strap had to stretch it just a little no biggie. As for the mag holster OMG ! I had to WORK for about an hour on each pouch in order to STRETCH the lid straps about 2 INCHES EACH. but I did get it done and now will have to work towards a smooth draw of gun and mags over time I guess..? Will try to update in a couple months..

Once again, great workmanship! Fits my Glock 21 perfectly. The small of back holster is a bit large, swallows my Beretta I had made for. The belt, well, I did expect better. I had a slightly thicker one same size from a local big box chain that actually is a bit better. So I’d hold off on belt purchases. Holster wise, great stuff!

Excellent quality and craftsmanship This holster is innovative with a 45° slant, once unsnapped. Vertical one in place. Definitely recommend getting a leather softening kit that is an add on. The delivery date from the software stated April 6. It arrived in three days, rather than six weeks. I was so impressed by the company about across draw holster as well.
