The Sig Sauer P238 was introduced in 2009 and is a single-action pistol with a .380 caliber. The magazine can hold 6 rounds (or 7 if extended). The build is made of a aluminium frame and a stainless steel slide, the finishes vary as there are different models available. The Sig Sauer 238 had to go through a upgrade process; in 2009 it has been recalled by SIG Sauer due to a technical ‘Mandatory Safety Upgrade’ concerning safety levers. The third generation of magazines has so far proven to be the most reliable.
