How to choose the best holster for your Beretta M9A4

Start with your carry style and daily use. A concealed carrier might prioritize low-profile designs, while a service user needs secure retention and accessibility. A Beretta M9A4 light bearing holster ensures compatibility with tactical lights. Consider whether you’re running a red dot, using a threaded barrel, or need a holster for duty, concealed carry, or range use. Material matters too—leather offers comfort, Kydex delivers precision retention.

Carry Options for Beretta M9A4 holsters

Concealed Carry

Choosing a Beretta M9A4 concealed carry holster means balancing concealability, comfort, and retention. Inside-the-waistband (IWB) designs and certain shoulder holsters provide the most discreet options for everyday carry.

IWB Holsters

A Beretta M9A4 IWB holster keeps your firearm secure and hidden under clothing. These holsters typically offer adjustable cant and ride height to improve comfort and draw speed. They're ideal for appendix or hip carry positions.

OWB Holsters

A Beretta M9A4 OWB holster offers faster access and better comfort when concealment isn't the top priority. Look for models with strong belt loops and passive or active retention systems. This option is well-suited for range use or open carry.

Shoulder Holsters

A Beretta M9A4 shoulder holster distributes weight across the upper body and allows carry under a jacket. It's a suitable choice for those spending long hours seated or driving. Balanced magazine pouches enhance weight distribution and accessibility.

Duty holsters

A Beretta M9A4 duty holster meets the needs of law enforcement and security professionals. Look for level II or III retention, rugged construction, and compatibility with tactical setups. Secure attachment systems like belt slides or drop-leg platforms are standard.

Drop leg holsters

A Beretta M9A4 leg holster offers mobility and easy access during tactical operations. Adjustable thigh straps keep the rig stable during movement, while modular mounting systems accommodate lights and optics.

Holsters with Light

A Beretta M9A4 holster with light accommodates popular tactical lights without compromising retention. These holsters are molded for light-bearing configurations and provide stable performance during dynamic movement or training.

Holsters with light and red dot

My holster is for a Beretta M9A4. Very difficult to find a real holster for this gun. When I received the holster it just pretty much pissed me off. The gun did not fit and the strap was a mile from closing. So when I finally had a warm day I took it to the garage and doused it with denatured alcohol (sort of per break in instructions). I worked it and dumped more alcohol on it and worked it until I could get the gun to fit in. Then I put the strap in a vice and went all Tasmanian Devil on it to stretch it. At this point I didn't care, I was just pissed off and trying to tear it a new one made me happy. I don't recommend this procedure to anyone no matter how hairy you are. After lifting most of the bench off the floor and moving it around I re-tried the strap and it closed. So I left the gun in the holster to air overnight. The next day I brought it in and worked some Hubert's Shoe Grease into the leather. The instructions I've seen online say NOT to do this. So just don't there Nancy. My thought was that I just put desiccating alcohol all over this thing and it could use a little conditioning love. yomv. At this point the M9A4 with its picatinny rail fits nicely in the holster. And as an extra bonus, my CZ Shadow 2 fits too. I am just really surprised frankly. I'm still irritated that the gun did not fit upon arrival and I feel that this is just a knockoff of a Galco. Whatever. Instead of having a piece of junk relegated to target practice I actually have a holster that fits two of my (difficult to find holster for) guns. Some days just go right despite Murphy's efforts.
