About Ruger SR9
The Ruger SR9 from the production of the largest US gun manufacturer is designed quite similar to other Ruger pistols. The first striker-fired Ruger pistol has a very slender profile and besides that, this model includes features such as a polymer frame with its picatinny rail, a reversible backstrap that can be flat or arched, to accommodate grip preferences, striker blocker and an internal trigger bar interlock, magazine disconnect and trigger safety. The Ruger SR9 is a recoil operated pistol which shoots 9mm Luger ammunition. The SR9 started to ship in October 2007, what means that it is the flagship of the Ruger SR-series. The full-size SR9 model is chambered in 9×19mm Parabellum. Besides the standard SR9 there is also an economy version of this model. This model was released in 2014. The SR9 represents a completely new design platform for Ruger pistols and gives Ruger a product which will be a strong competitor for existing powerhouse firearms in the personal defense and also law-enforcement markets. Frame of this model is made of black glass filled nylon.
