About Ruger SR40
The Ruger SR40 is a semi-automatic pistol from the Ruger's production. First striker-fired pistols have a very slender profile, features such as a polymer frame with a picatinny rail, an internal trigger bar interlock and striker blocker, a reversible backstrap that may be flat or arched, to accommodate grip preferences, trigger safety and magazine disconnect. The Ruger SR40 is a recoil operated pistol which is chambered in .40 cal ammunition. Maximum magazine capacity of the SR40 is 15 rounds, what is more than lot of average pistols of the same caliber. The Ruger SR40 does not belong to pistols of smaller size, however many shooters carry this pistol concealed. The SR40 has quite powerful ammunition that may have greater stopping power. Design and construction of this pistol represents the next step in striker-fired pistols from the Ruger. Its surprisingly light recoil, that makes the SR40 very easy and comfortable to shoot. This pistol is built on the same high-performance glass-filled nylon frame as the previous model, offering great ergonomic features which made the Ruger SR 40 so successful. It has reversible backstrap for an arched or flat configuration, a slim, narrow frame with a short trigger reach, and also fully ambidextrous controls.
