The company known all over the world as the Ruger, with the official name of The Sturm, Ruger & Company, Inc. is the leading producer of firearms in the whole United States. The Sturm, Ruger designs, produces and markets a full line of various models of pistols, revolvers, rifles, and shotguns, mainly for sporting purposes, however there is also several models available for the law enforcement and military use.
The Ruger LCP II is a semi-automatic, recoil-operated, single action pistol introduced to the market in 2016. The Ruger LCP 2 has trigger safety and can hold 6 rounds. The Ruger LCP 2 has a glass-filled polymer frame and a barrel length of 2.75" The new Ruger LCP II was widened to give a more comfortable grip for larger-handed shooters, and the slide grew to accommodate forward serrations and taller sights. The biggest difference in the Ruger LCP II though is the trigger. Gone is the long and heavy revolver-like pull of the original. The LCP II isn't a striker-fired gun. It still has a hammer, but the trigger pull duplicates the bladed, two-stage trigger of a good striker-fired service gun. Light triggers aren't a good idea on defensive guns in the hands of shooters who aren't highly trained, and 6 pounds is reasonable.
