About Sig Sauer Mosquito
The Sig Sauer company began in 1853 and was at first a wagon factory - until the revolutionary design of the Prélaz-Burnand rifle, which this factory manufactured, had won a Switzerland's Federal Ministry of Defense competition to produce 30 000 Prélaz-Burnand rifles. The factory then changed its name to Schweizerische Industrie Gesellschaft - SIG (Swiss Industrial Company in English).
This blowback operated semi-auto pistol is chambered in .22 LR caliber. It features double-action trigger, slide mounted ambi safety/decocker, 10-round magazine, black composite grip and blade front, adjustable rear sights. There are various varaints available. Variant 1 with picatinny rail and 3.98-in barrel. Variant 2 with duo-tone, nickel plated slide and 3.98-in barrel.Variant 3 with reverse duo-tone and 3.98-in barrel. Variant 4 with threaded 4.9-in barrel, variant 5 which is a Sport model with 4.96-in barrel, variant 6 with carbon fiber finish and accessory rail and 3.9-in barrel, variant 7 with flat dark earth finish, accessory rail and 3.9-in barrel, variant 8 multi-camo finish, accessory rail and 3.9-in barrel and variant 9 with 4.9-in threaded barrel and accessory rail.
