About Kahr CW9
Although the Kahr Arms does not belong among the largest firearm manufacturers on the international market, however it is a quite successful company, with plenty of satisfied customers. Most of the Kahr pistols lovers are from the US. This American small arms manufacturing company was founded by a Korean businessman Kook Jin "Justin" Moon, who is currently a CEO of the Kahr Arms.
The Kahr CW9 is a semi-automatic, striker-fired pistol. No matter that trigger is designated as the DAO, what means double-action, only by the manufacturer, its operation is anyway quite similar to models of some other manufacturers. Truly double-action only triggers are designed to completely cock and fire a pistol, allowing a re-fire operation on a miss-fired round without racking the slide. Exactly like the other models mentioned before, the Kahr CW 9mm triggers have slide-assisted cocking action that removes much of its weight and length of the trigger pull. The result of the trigger design is that trigger is not able to cock the striker on its own, however is functionally more like a single-action trigger. Its cartridge was introduced along with the Luger semi-automatic pistol. Both were first adopted in 1904 and then also by the German Army in 1908. Its cartridge has since become the military cartridge of nearly each non-Communist power. Actually, it has become the most popular and widely-used handgun cartridge. Way of the performance of the 9mm cartridge has a bit more power than the .38 Special, however falls well short of the .357 Magnum cartridge. Its grip has excellent rag checkering.
