About Kahr MK40
Although the Kahr Arms does not belong among the largest firearm manufacturers on the international market, however it is a quite successful company, with plenty of satisfied customers. Most of the Kahr pistols lovers are from the US. This American small arms manufacturing company was founded by a Korean businessman Kook Jin "Justin" Moon, who is currently a CEO of the Kahr Arms.
This recoil operated semi-automatic gun comes in two variants- tritium night sights or white bar-dot combat sights. It is chambered in .40 S&W cal. Part of Kahr's Premium Series, the MK Series is a high quality thin profile subcompact, pocket carry handgun model with a steel frame. Features include a 3” polygonal rifled match grade barrel, double-action trigger, internal and passive striker block safety, 5-round magazine, wraparound textured nylon grip, matte stainless steel finish, stainless or blackened stainless slide and an option for night sights. Kahr pistols are striker-fired locked-breech designs, relying on a modification of the Browning dropping-barrel system with a lug above the chamber locking the barrel into the roof of the slide. The length of this model is 5.35-in with 3-in barrel. The bullet mass capacity is 180 grains.
