About Colt Combat Unit
Colt’s Manufacturing Company (CMC) represents one of the most famous American guns manufacturers, respected and well known worldwide. Sam Colt established the first Colt’s factory in England in 1851. Few years later, he managed to expand also to American continent and factory was founded in Hartford, in Connecticut. In 1891, Colt came into a contract with John Browning, when long and profitable relationship started.
The Colt Combat Unit is a recoil-operated, single-action, semi automatic pistol developed by Colt’s Manufacturing Company. The pistol was manufactured by America’s most popular producer of M1911-style pistols only in 2016, but there are still many who carry it on a daily basis. . The Colt Combat Unit is a full-sized 1911 pistol that comes in both government and officer sizes (in a rail or non-rail configuration).
This version of the Colt Combat Unit is a government-sized pistol with an overall length of 8.5 inches and a 5 inches long barrel. The pistol features a single-stack magazine that can be loaded with 9+1 rounds of the popular 9x19mm Parabellum or 8+1 rounds of the powerful .45 ACP cartridges. The Colt Combat Unit features an accessory rail for easy attachment of tactical lights and lasers.
