The 1991 came 80 years after the original model and upgraded the design with white dot sight and a lowered ejection port for extra reliability. The features that stayed the same are a long trigger, flat mainspring housing and original style recoil spring system. The Colt 1991 is a single action, recoil operated, semi-automatic pistol chambered in .45 ACP that holds 7 rounds in the magazine. The barrel length is 5”.
