How to choose the best holster for your Glock 24

Start by identifying how and where you plan to carry your Glock 24. As the Glock 24 is a long-slide competition pistol, it requires a holster that offers secure retention, easy access, and comfort. A Glock 24 holster should accommodate the extended barrel length with ease while maintaining a snug fit to prevent unwanted movement. Consider holster materials such as Leather or Nylon, adjustable retention, belt compatibility, and sweat guards to suit your daily carry routine or range needs.

Carry Options for Glock 24 holsters

Concealed Carry

Carrying a Glock 24 concealed requires a thoughtful holster setup due to its size. While not typically used for everyday concealed carry, it's still possible with the right Glock 24 concealed carry holster design and positioning.

IWB Holsters

An inside-the-waistband (IWB) Glock 24 holster offers discreet carry with solid concealment under a loose shirt or jacket. Look for IWB options with extended muzzle protection to avoid discomfort from the longer slide. Adjustable cant and ride height features help fine-tune positioning for optimal balance and draw speed.

OWB Holsters

An OWB Glock 24 holster is ideal for range days or open carry scenarios. These holsters provide excellent access and retention, especially when paired with a secure paddle or belt loop attachment. The longer slide of the Glock 24 balances well in an OWB setup, minimizing printing and increasing comfort during active use.

Shoulder Holsters

A Glock 24 shoulder holster distributes the firearm's weight across your shoulders, offering a comfortable alternative for all-day carry. This method is especially useful for seated positions or colder climates where jackets naturally aid concealment. Ensure your chosen shoulder rig includes adjustable straps and a counterbalance magazine pouch for stability.

I have owned shoulder holsters before...or so I thought. This holster is clearly going to last me for years and years. Opening the box took me back to my childhood with the smell of those extinct leather shops that used to exist in every town. Granted, it will need to be broken in like a new pair of boots, but when that is done...it will be like wearing a glove over my shoulders. The fit is already good, and I am glad to see that the top straps are WIDE. This is the fatal flaw of most shoulder holsters. The straps are thin and they just cut into you all day. Not this one tho, this is so nice. I requested mag pouches to fit my competition size 22rd .40 cal magazines. They asked me for measurements, and they nailed it. Perfect fit. Amazing skill to be that accurate without having me mail them an actual magazine. Precise instructions were included, and no extra was charged for the break-in kit. I am happy to see that there still exists leather-smiths in our great country. I am only puzzled by one thing...how do they turn a profit at this price? Oh well, not my problem, I just hope they stay in business. Buy American! A+ Flawless craftsmanship!
