How to choose the best holster for your Glock 19

Choose a Glock 19 holster that matches your lifestyle and draw preferences. This compact handgun is ideal for both duty and concealed carry, making holster compatibility essential. Holsters for the Glock 19 are engineered to fit specific generational differences, ensuring reliable retention and comfort. A Glock 19 Gen 5 holster accommodates the subtle frame updates and front slide serrations unique to the fifth generation. For users carrying earlier models, a Glock 19 Gen 4 holster offers compatibility with backstrap customization and dual recoil spring systems.

Best Glock 19 IWB Holster

Best Glock 19 OWB Holster

Open Top Belt Holster – $89.  The Open Top Belt Holster is an excellent choice for those seeking easy access and a quick draw. Its pancake design provides a slim, low-profile fit, ensuring that your Glock 19 remains concealed even in an OWB carry position. Best Glock 19 Shoulder Holster

This leather shoulder system allows you to carry your gun in a horizontal position, secured with a thumb break strap for added safety. Carry Options for Glock 19 holsters

Concealed Carry

Concealed carry with the Glock 19 is streamlined by the pistol’s compact profile, making it an ideal choice for daily discreet use. A well-designed Glock 19 concealed holster ensures minimal printing while allowing for a quick draw and secure retention. Selecting the right carry style depends on your comfort, wardrobe, and daily routine.

IWB Holsters

An IWB holster Glock 19 setup offers excellent concealment and everyday comfort. It positions the firearm inside the waistband, which minimizes bulk and keeps the weapon close to the body. This carry method suits those who prioritize discretion without sacrificing accessibility.

OWB Holsters

A Glock 19 OWB holster is ideal for range use or open carry. Positioned on the belt’s outer side, it delivers quick access and lasting comfort. Leather or molded polymer designs with tension adjustments ensure a secure fit while allowing an effortless draw.

Shoulder Holsters

Shoulder holster Glock 19 suits colder weather or extended seated periods. These rigs evenly distribute firearm weight across the shoulders, allowing for comfortable carry. Opt for models with padded straps and adjustable holster angles to keep your Glock 19 holster steady.

Holsters with Light

A Glock 19 holster with light accommodates tactical attachments like weapon-mounted flashlights. These holsters feature molded channels to fit popular light models and maintain reliable retention. Ensure compatibility with your specific light model for a secure and efficient draw.

Holsters with Light Attachments

A Glock 19 TRL 7 holster is custom-molded to accommodate the added dimensions of the Streamlight TLR-7 tactical light. These holsters feature precise light channels, ensuring secure retention and a smooth draw even with the light attached. For users equipped with a different setup, a Glock 19 TRL1 holster is designed specifically for the larger TLR-1 light body, offering the same level of security and draw efficiency. Both options support weapon-mounted lighting for low-light conditions without sacrificing comfort or carry reliability. When choosing between models, confirm light compatibility to maintain a snug fit and consistent performance.

For those using the SureFire X300, the Glock 19 SureFire X300 holster is engineered to handle the light's longer profile and robust design. These holsters typically feature adjustable retention and an open-bottom cut to accommodate threaded barrels or compensators. If you rely on the Olight PL-3 Valkyrie, a Glock 19 Olight PL-3 Valkyrie holster offers custom light-channeling and trigger guard protection, ensuring your weapon remains secure while still offering a smooth draw stroke.

Other popular EDC combos include the Glock 19 TLR8 holster and Glock 19 Baldr S holster. Both options are tailored to fit the unique form factors of these compact light/laser units. Whether you're looking for a holster that supports concealment or range-ready performance, these models deliver functionality without compromising comfort. Always double-check that the holster is molded specifically for your Glock 19 and chosen attachment to ensure optimal performance.

Holsters with Light and Red Dot

Glock 19 holsters with light and red dot support modern handgun setups. These specialized holsters include space for both an optic and weapon light, often with open-top designs or optic cutouts. Choose rigid materials that retain shape while offering smooth reholstering and stable fit.

Drop Leg Holsters

Glock 19 drop leg holsters mount to the thigh for a tactical draw position. Favored in duty or training environments, they allow fast access while distributing weight away from the waistline. Look for models with leg straps, adjustable ride height, and secure retention for field-ready performance.

Duty Holsters

A Glock 19 Duty holster is built for law enforcement and professional use, emphasizing security, retention, and durability. These holsters typically feature active retention systems to prevent unauthorized access while allowing rapid draw when needed.

Level 2 Holsters

A Glock 19 Level 2 holster adds an extra layer of retention for users who need more security than standard friction-fit designs offer. These holsters typically feature a mechanical retention system, such as a thumb-activated hood or locking lever, which keeps the firearm locked in place until deliberately released.

Appendix Holsters

Appendix carry is a popular method for those seeking rapid access and strong concealment. A Glock 19 appendix holster positions the firearm at the front of the waistband, typically around the 1 o’clock position, allowing for a fast and efficient draw. This setup is especially effective for compact pistols like the Glock 19.

Car Holsters

A Glock 19 car holster provides secure and accessible storage while driving. These holsters mount inside the vehicle, often under the steering wheel, beside the seat, or on the center console, allowing quick access without compromising safety.

A well made, well fitting, in the waistband leather holster for the Glock 19 GEN 5. Fit was very tight at first, as expected. I inserted and removed the weapon about ten times an hour for a day or two and the tension is absolutely perfect now. Love it. Will buy again. Craft Holsters are a premium product. Very fast delivery from order date.

Well made but my gun has to be forced into the holster. So tight, the slide rides back. Very disappointing. It will go into the trash can.
