How to buy a Holster for LCRx?

To buy the perfect holster for your LCRx, consider your carrying style and specific model. The LCRx series, known for its lightweight and compact design, is ideal for concealed carry. For the standard LCRx or the LCRx 2-inch model, inside-the-waistband (IWB) holsters and pocket holsters offer discreet carrying options. If you have the LCRx .38 or .357, outside-the-waistband (OWB) holsters or shoulder holsters may provide extra comfort and accessibility. Craft Holsters offers a variety of custom-molded holsters for the LCRx models, ensuring a secure fit and comfortable carry for both casual and daily use.

What are the LCRx holster prices?

Prices for LCRx holsters vary based on material and holster type. Leather holsters start at $79, offering a traditional look with durable comfort. Kydex holsters begin at $95 and provide a slim, secure fit, popular for concealed carry. Nylon LCRx holsters start at $59, offering affordability and flexibility, while hybrid LCRx holsters, combining leather and Kydex, start at $85 and provide enhanced comfort and retention. Whether you’re looking for a premium leather holster or an affordable nylon option, Craft Holsters has a range of prices to suit your budget and preferences.

What material is used in LCRx holsters?

LCRx holsters are available in various materials, each offering unique advantages. Leather LCRx 2-inch holsters provide a classic, comfortable fit, molding to the body over time for a customized feel. Kydex holsters are rigid, offering excellent retention, making them ideal for secure and discreet carry. Nylon LCRx holsters are lightweight and flexible, suited for all-day wear or active use. Hybrid holsters, which combine leather and Kydex, provide both comfort and retention. With this selection, you can choose an LCRx holster that matches your carrying style and personal comfort needs.

What size holster for LCRx?

The LCRx series, including models like the LCRx 2-inch, .38, and .357, is compatible with compact holsters that prioritize discretion and comfort. IWB and pocket holsters are ideal for concealing smaller models, like the LCRx 2-inch, while OWB and shoulder LCRx holsters provide easy access for larger or heavier calibers, like the LCRx .357. A holster molded specifically for your LCRx model guarantees a snug fit, optimal retention, and ease of draw, enhancing both security and comfort.

What color holster for LCRx?

LCRx holsters are available in a range of colors to suit different tastes. Black and mahogany leather holsters offer a timeless and versatile look, while Kydex holsters often come in black or tactical colors, ideal for low-profile, discreet carry. Nylon LCRx holsters are commonly available in black, blending well with everyday attire. Choosing a color that complements your style allows you to carry your LCRx holster confidently.

How to choose an LCRx holster?

Choosing the right LCRx holster depends on your carry style, material preference, and model. For concealed carry, compact IWB or pocket holsters work well for the LCRx’s compact design. For open carry or range use, OWB LCRx holsters offer quick access and comfort. Material choice, whether leather, Kydex, or nylon, affects comfort and retention, so select one that best suits your needs. A holster designed specifically for the LCRx ensures a secure fit and reliable performance.

What type of LCRx holster is best for concealed carry?

For concealed carry, the LCRx works best with holsters that keep the firearm close to your body. IWB holsters and pocket holsters are ideal for discreet carry with the LCRx 2-inch and smaller calibers, like the .38. A hybrid LCRx holster that combines leather with a Kydex shell offers comfort and solid retention for all-day wear. A holster specifically molded for the LCRx ensures optimal fit, minimal printing, and reliable access for concealed carry.

What is the best holster for LCRx?

The best holster for the LCRx depends on your carry preferences and specific model. For versatile carrying, an IWB or pocket holster keeps the LCRx discreetly close. OWB holsters provide comfort for open carry or range use, while a leather shoulder holster adds classic style and accessibility. For active or outdoor use, a chest holster keeps the firearm secure. Craft Holsters offers a range of options for the LCRx, ensuring you can find the best holster to fit your needs.

How to choose LCRx IWB holster?

Selecting an IWB holster for the LCRx involves balancing comfort and retention. The IWB steel clip holster keeps the firearm close to the body, minimizing printing and providing a secure hold. Hybrid options with leather backing and a Kydex shell offer additional comfort, making them suitable for long periods of wear. Choosing an IWB holster specifically designed for the LCRx ensures a perfect fit and easy access, making it an ideal choice for concealed carry.

How to choose LCRx OWB holster?

An OWB holster for the LCRx should provide secure retention and easy access. For open carry, a leather or Kydex OWB holster, such as an open-top belt holster, keeps the firearm secure and accessible. Adjustable retention settings help customize the fit, adding extra security. Selecting an OWB holster molded for the LCRx ensures it stays secure while allowing a smooth, consistent draw.

How to choose LCRx Shoulder holster?

Choosing a shoulder holster for the LCRx requires comfort and adjustability. Look for options with adjustable straps to balance weight distribution and ensure a custom fit. Leather LCRx 2 inch shoulder holsters are a classic choice for durability and comfort, with some designs offering space for spare ammunition. A shoulder holster molded for the LCRx provides secure retention and allows quick access when needed.

How to choose LCRx Leather holster?

A leather holster for the LCRx provides both durability and comfort, making it a popular choice. Full-grain leather options mold to the body, creating a natural fit that enhances comfort over time. Leather OWB or shoulder holsters are ideal for open carry, while IWB leather holsters provide a close, secure fit for concealed carry. A leather holster specifically molded for the LCRx ensures secure retention and adds a touch of style.

How to choose LCRx Light-Bearing holster?

If your LCRx is equipped with a light attachment, a light-bearing holster is essential. Light-bearing holsters have extra space to accommodate both the firearm and light, ensuring proper retention. Kydex is an excellent material for light-bearing holsters, offering a firm structure to support the attachment. Selecting a light-bearing holster custom-made for the LCRx guarantees compatibility with the light and smooth access when needed.

How to choose LCRx Red Dot holster?

For LCRx models with a red dot sight, a red dot-compatible holster ensures that the sight remains unobstructed. Kydex holsters are an excellent choice, providing a secure fit while protecting the optic. Choosing a holster specifically designed for red dot-equipped LCRx models ensures easy access and smooth reholstering, while also safeguarding the sight.

Will LCRx Holsters Fit Other LCR Models?

Holsters made for the LCRx are typically designed for its unique exposed hammer and barrel size, so they may not fit other LCR models without adjustments. LCR models without exposed hammers, like the standard LCR, may require different holster molds for optimal fit and retention. For the best performance and security, it’s recommended to use holsters tailored specifically to each LCR model.

Kevin

Was really interested in this holster but was unsure of whether it was the correct one for my LCR, I emailed Craft Holsters and got some wonderful guidance from Klaret. She informed me that the holster was for the LCRx 2" and that it would have to be modified to accommodate my hammerless LCR 2" So following her advice the thumb break was removed and a retention screw was added and I received just a beautiful holster in Mahogany leather. Right out of the box the LCR fit perfectly no break in required !! And to top it off it was delivered way ahead of schedule !!!!!! This is my 3rd holster from Craft and they have all been Fantastic !!!! Will definitely be adding more to my collection
