great holster but does not fit my 629 S&W revolver. Too tight. However it does fit my 686 S&W revolver. It's very tight but it does fit. Now I'm looking for a holster to fit my 629

I’ve used many different brands of holsters for my carry guns; *, *, * just to name a few. But Craft Holaters out performs them all. They have a very robust and superior design. All for a great price. Especially when you are able to take advantage of their periodic discounts! I currently use one of their horizontal carry shoulder rigs for my Beretta 92a1. I also have a cross draw holster for my S&W model 629 revolver. After an overnight break in they fit like a glove with great retention I’m currently waiting on another cross draw holster for my Colt Python as well as a double carry shoulder rig for my Glock 20’s Craft Holsters have certainly earned my loyalty. I will be ordering more

The holster fit like a glove as delivered and had beautiful craftsmanship. My only issues are with the thumb break strap. It was at least 1/2" too short to fit over the hammer of my revolver. I followed the instructions to use denatured alcohol to soften the strap leather to stretch it. Even with the alcohol, it was too short to go over the hammer with what I could pull by hand. It required levering the strap over with a screwdriver and it took three days of treatment before it stayed at a length long enough to fit. As a result of all the stretching, the leather on the strap looks a little stressed so the overall appearance of the holster was diminished. The other issue I have with the thumb break strap is the difficulty closing the snap. It requires so much force that two hands are needed to get it closed. There is no way to snap the strap while wearing the holster. Regardless, it is easy to release the strap to draw the firearm.
