About Springfield Hellcat
The original institution was founded in 1777 by the direct order of George Washington in Springfield, Massachusetts. The purpose was to store revolutionary ammunition and gun carriages for a rising nation. The Armory began producing arms in 1794 and had been producing them until 1968 when the U.S. Government closed it.
The Springfield Armory Hellcat is a single-action, recoil-operated semi automatic pistol. The Springfield Hellcat was developed by HS Produkt, a small firearms manufacturer from Croatia. This micro-compact pistol is distributed in the United States by Springfield Armory Inc., one of the world’s leading firearms manufacturers. The Hellcat was first introduced in September 2019 and it quickly became one of the most popular concealed carry guns. Thanks to its many great features, the Hellcat was selected as the 2020 Handgun of the Year by American Rifleman, a popular American gun’s magazine. Immediately after its introduction, the Springfield Hellcat became a serious competition for a number of other popular CCW pistols such as the SIG Sauer P365. One of the features why the Springfield Hellcat finds itself on almost every single list of the best carry guns is its high-capacity magazine. The pistol comes with a 11+1 round flush magazine. On top of that, Springfield Armory also offers an extended 13+1 round magazine. Such high-capacity is possible thanks to the double stack magazine the Hellcat comes with. The Springfield Armory Hellcat is chambered for the 9x19mm Parabellum, the most popular self-defense and service cartridge. When it comes to the firing mechanism, the Springfield Hellcat is a striker-fired pistol. Construction-wise, the frame of the Springfield Armory Hellcat is fully made of polymer and the pistol comes with grips made of integrated polymer. Such construction results in extreme light weight. The Hellcat weighs from 17.9 to 18.6 oz., depending on the number of rounds loaded in the pistol’s magazine. The low weight makes the pistol ideal for everyday concealed carry as well as allowing for easy operation and convenient manipulation. Apart from being very light, the Springfield Hellcat is also extremely compact. Of course, there are also some minor issues a couple of Hellcat shooters might experience, but these don't diminish the value that this pistol delivers at all.
The pistol comes with a 3’’ barrel and the gun’s overall length is 6 inches. The Hellcat’s height is 4 inches and the pistol is 1 inch wide. When the pistol is loaded with the 13+1 round extended magazine, its height increases to 4.5 inches. These parameters make the pistol very easy to conceal and if the Hellcat is paired with a well-fitting holster, it doesn’t print, making the pistol well-hidden and nearly unnoticeable. This Hellcat’s slide is equipped with front and rear serrations. The pistol also comes with tritium front and a U-notch rear sights, which are meant to deliver impeccable accuracy. The Springfield Hellcat is also equipped with an accessory rail, which means you can attach various tactical lights and lasers to it.
