About Sig Sauer P226 22 SAO
The Sig Sauer company began in 1853 and was at first a wagon factory - until the revolutionary design of the Prélaz-Burnand rifle, which this factory manufactured, had won a Switzerland's Federal Ministry of Defense competition to produce 30 000 Prélaz-Burnand rifles. The factory then changed its name to Schweizerische Industrie Gesellschaft - SIG (Swiss Industrial Company in English).
The P226 is an enduring line of SIG SAUER pistols. Widely adopted by military and law enforcement, the P226 has proven its ability to handle extreme adversity and brutal conditions. SIG SAUER is now featuring their classic line of P226 in a caliber ideal for the range and marksmanship training. Enter the P226 22 SAO. This P226 Classic line pistol features a crisp 5 lb single-action only trigger with adjustable sights. Perfect for target practice on the range, this P226 .22 SAO comes with custom engraved walnut grips that prominently feature the SIG mark. This model features 10-round magazine The one-piece, reduced-reach ergonomic grip features an updated stippling pattern, Adjustable Sights - Contrast sights are adjustable for windage and elevation. The pistol is chambered in 22LR caliber. The overall length is 7.9 in with 4.6-in barrel.
