About Kahr PM45
The Kahr PM45 is a semi-automatic, striker-fired pistol with a locked-breech design, relying on a dropping-barrel system which is an modification of the Browning system with a lug just above the chamber locking the barrel into the roof of the slide. Even though the trigger of this model is designated as the DAO, what means the double-action, only by the manufacturer,. Truly double-action only triggers are designed to thoroughly cock and fire a pistol, allowing a re-fire operation on a miss-fired round even without racking the slide. The other models mentioned before have very similar trigger design as the Kahr pistols. Its triggers utilize a slide-assisted cocking action which removes much of its weight and length of the trigger pull.
