About Smith & Wesson Model 29 - 4"
The S&W; Model 29 4'' is a revolver from the N-framed line of Smith & Wesson. The frame of this model is made out of metal providing a sturdy foundation for the N-frame representative. Smith & Wesson introduced their first large frame (referred to as the N-frame),in 1907 to compete with other revolvers. Up until this time all of S&W;’s large-caliber revolvers had been of the hinged-frame, top-break variety, and, while popular, they were never viewed as quite rugged enough or chambered for powerful enough cartridges to be a real threat.

I have a Smith and Wesson Model 29, and a big part of the appeal it held for me was the classic blue finish. The last thing I want to do is take a chance on gun security....and frankly, most of the belt holsters I've tried-even the best of them-felt awfully precarious with a gun of this weight. I felt like a shoulder rig was the ideal way to carry this gun, and I could not be more pleased with my order. I've had cheaper shoulder holsters, and the weight never felt properly distributed. This setup is different. A fully loaded Model 29 doesn't feel that much heavier than a checkbook or a cell phone in this rig. The revolver fit perfectly in the holster, which is not always a given. The snaps, for the gun as well as the speedloader compartments, all actually SNAPPED, which is, again, not always automatic! Besides that, it is beautiful, in its' own right. It is the IDEAL way to carry a revolver of this quality. I couldn't be more pleased.

It seems well put together. Easy to put on and take off. Giving 4* because the strap that goes over the trigger doesn't quite fit. It seems short and the strap doesn't seem secured. I have to put in front of the trigger
