Own MULTIPLE open tops-wonderful product! usually very tight but after the recommended break-in procedure the fit is remarkable. I routinely carry Sig P365 /Magnum research 1911-3"/SigP229/Canik 9mm full size/Springfield XDM Elite 4.5 10mm/ Springfield Armory Model 3-9mm. When I decide on my next holster it will be the open top. I have another brand of holster with a thumb break for a Sig P220 Carry but now prefer the open top. NO REGRETS!

I didn't have to break in the holster but I went ahead and put the weapon of choice into a plastic bag and left it inside the holster for 24hrs. My holster fits perfectly for my model pistol Magnum Research 1911U.
