How to choose the best holster for your Springfield Hellcat

The Springfield Hellcat is built for daily carry, so your holster needs to be more than just a good fit. It has to feel right when you're sitting for hours, bending over, or just going about your day. A solid Springfield Hellcat holster holds tight, keeps the trigger protected, and doesn’t move around when you do. You’ll want something that can take real use, clipped onto your belt during range time, stuffed in your waistband during errands, or just worn all day. Kydex keeps things rigid and consistent. Leather molds to your body over time. Hybrids? Best of both worlds if you like balance. And don’t overlook the little things. Can you adjust the cant? Does it ride too high or low? Is there a sweat guard that actually works? These details shape how the holster feels hour after hour.

Best Springfield Hellcat IWB Holster

IWB Holster w Steel Clip – $89. This leather holster can be carried both IWB and appendix style, offering flexibility in how you choose to carry your Springfield Hellcat. The steel clip design is perfect for those who dislike removing their belt when attaching or detaching the holster. It also features a reinforced thumb break strap, adding extra durability and increasing the holster’s natural retention, making it a highly secure option.

Best Springfield Hellcat OWB Holster

Open Top Belt Holster – $89.  The Open Top Belt Holster is an excellent choice for those seeking easy access and a quick draw. Its pancake design provides a slim, low-profile fit, ensuring that your Springfield Hellcat remains concealed even in an OWB carry position. This holster is not only practical but also extremely comfortable for daily wear.

Best Springfield Hellcat Shoulder Holster

Shoulder Holster System – $215. For shoulder holster fans, the Shoulder Holster System is the best option for the Springfield Hellcat. This leather shoulder system allows you to carry your gun in a horizontal position, secured with a thumb break strap for added safety. The system includes a double ammo holder and tie-down straps that attach to your belt, offering excellent balance and security. As a bonus, the holster can also be used as a regular belt holster, giving you two carry options in one.

Carry Options for Springfield Hellcat holsters

Concealed Carry

Carrying every day means your holster needs to stay hidden without getting in the way. A Springfield Hellcat concealed carry holster should disappear under your clothes and stay comfortable whether you’re standing, driving, or sitting through a long lunch.

IWB Holsters

For most people, Springfield Hellcat IWB holsters are the sweet spot. They ride inside the waistband, keeping things close and low-profile. Adjustable cant makes a big difference here, set it right and your draw feels smooth, not awkward. Get one that locks in place and doesn’t shift with every step.

OWB Holsters

Want more breathing room or easier on-off? Springfield Hellcat OWB holsters ride on the outside of your waistband and feel less restrictive. They're especially good in cooler weather when a longer shirt or jacket can cover everything. You get comfort and stability, without sacrificing too much concealment.

Shoulder Holsters

A Springfield Hellcat shoulder holster is worth considering if you sit a lot, drive for work, or prefer to carry a backup. It spreads the weight, keeps the gun off your waist, and still gives you access when seated. Just wear something over it to keep it out of sight.

Holsters with Light

Adding a light to your setup? A Springfield Hellcat holster with light needs to be molded for the exact model you're using. A regular holster won’t fit right. A Springfield Hellcat light bearing holster should hold firm, release cleanly, and not snag your gear.

Pocket Holsters

Sometimes simple works best. A Springfield Hellcat pocket holster offers deep concealment without needing a belt. As long as your pocket can fit it and the holster stays put on the draw, it’s a smart choice for casual carry or backup.

Ankle Holsters

Looking for deep concealment or a backup gun position? A Springfield Hellcat ankle holster rides low, out of sight. It’s not quick to access, but for some situations, it’s exactly what you need. Make sure it’s padded well so it doesn’t rub raw after a day on your feet.

Appendix Holsters

Appendix carry is all about speed and concealment. A good Springfield Hellcat appendix holster rides up front and tucks in tight. If it’s built right, with a wedge or claw, it keeps the grip from sticking out and doesn’t jab you when you move. You’ll want something that feels right even when sitting.

Chest Holsters

If you spend time outdoors, a Springfield Hellcat chest holster makes sense. It puts your gun up front, easy to reach, and off your waistband entirely. That’s great if you’re wearing a pack or moving around a lot. Just make sure the straps are solid and it doesn’t bounce when you move.

Holsters with Red Dot

Running an optic? Then you’ll need a Springfield Hellcat holster with red dot clearance. It should have the cut to fit your sight without messing with retention. Don’t try to cram your setup into a regular holster, it won’t work well and could damage the optic.

Paddle Holsters

Springfield Hellcat paddle holsters are all about convenience. You don’t have to thread your belt, just slide it on and go. A good paddle holster locks in securely and stays put, even if you're moving fast or drawing under pressure.

Left Handed Holsters

Lefties need proper gear, not just a mirrored design. A Springfield Hellcat left handed holster should match the comfort and draw quality of right-hand models. Look for something truly built for left-hand carry, not just flipped.

Summary

Best for the bucks

Perfectly fixed to my gun and me. I'm a left handed shooter so "custom made" is the best option for me.

Very unhappy with the purchase. In fact I’m being forced to do a credit card chargeback because they refuse to refund me. The item I received 4 days after ordering is incorrectly sized, does not fit the Springfield hellcat I specified, is not the same color leather throughout, the edging isn’t the same between the mag holder and the holster, the leather thicknesses aren’t the same, and I doubt it’s even hand made from the stitching. I will continue posting this review until I receive my refund without the ridiculous 25% restocking fee. Complete fraud. I bet this review won’t last long, which you should also be ashamed of.
