About MAC Commander - 5"
MAC is a company producing firearms from the Philippines, currently under the Eagle Imports USA. The company dates back to 1899 and was handed from generation to generation. They produce a line of 1911 semi-autos. Their guns are known for reliability and have an exotic feel to them.
This recoil operated semi-automatic pistol chambered in .45 Auto caliber was made in 2010 . The 45 Automatic is the most powerful military handgun cartridge in use today. This is a heavy and powerful sub-sonic round, its velocity and bullet weight creates a steep trajectory curve that limits its effective range to self-defense distances. This model offers single-action trigger, grip safety, manual thumb safety, 9-round magazine, checkered wood grip and combat sights. This model is available in 3 variants. The one with blued finish steel frame, second one with hard chrome finish steel frame and the third one with duo-tone finish. The length of this pistol is 8.25-in with 5-in barrel.
