The High Standard M1911 - 5” is a recoil operated semi-automatic pistol produced by the High Standard Manufacturing Company. The High Standard M1911 - 5” has a carbon steel frame with a steel slide and checkered walnut grips. The HS M1911 - 5” relies on the use of the .45 ACP or .38 Super cartridge and its magazine holds up to 7 + 1 rounds (ACP) or 8 + 1 (Super) of ammo. This pistol features a lowered and flared ejection port and also fixed, GI-style sights.
