The Smith & Wesson 647 - 8.375’’ is a 6-shot double/single-action revolver developed by Smith & Wesson, the world’s most popular revolver producer. This big revolver was introduced in 2003, but its production lasted for only about a year. The revolver is built on the K-frame and it’s the company’s only venture into revolvers chambered for the .17 HMR cartridge. The SW 647 doesn’t have any manual safety, its frame is made of stainless steel and the pistol features Hogue rubber grips. The S&W 647 - 8.375’’ comes with pinned partridge front and adjustable black rear sights. The revolver’s barrel is immensely big, measuring a full 8.375 inch, making it one of the biggest Smith & Wesson revolvers.
