About Para Ordnance 1911 (w Rail) - 5"
Para USA (Para) is a firearms manufacturer from the United States. It is a successor to Para-Ordnance, founded in Canada in 1985. It’s specialization is the manufacture of M1911-style semi-automatic pistols. The company's first product was a plastic paintball gun designed for police and military training purposes. In 2009 Para moved from Canada to the United States and became a totally U.S. Company - Para USA. In 2012 they became a part of the Freedom Group, a group owned by Cerberus Capital Management.
This recoil operated semi-automatic was produced in 2006 – 2008. This model is available in 2 calibers 38 Super and .45 Auto caliber. The .38 Super offers single-action trigger, grip safety, manual thumb safety, 9-round magazine, stainless steel and 3-dot sights. One variant offers synthetic mother-of-pearl grip and the second one medallion cocobolo grip and skeletonized trigger. The model chambered in .45 Auto has single-action trigger, grip safety, manual thumb safety, 8-round magazine, steel frame, premium cocobolo grip, 3-dot sights and regal finish. The pistol is 8.5-in long with 5-in barrel. This model also features rail.
