Raptor pistols have flat top slides with a back-cut row of scales, along with scaled serrations in the gripping areas. Scaled frontstraps and logo grip panels continue the theme. This pistol have an extended ambidextrous thumb safety, bumped beavertail grip safety, single-action trigger, 8-round magazine, polished blue steel or satin stainless steel frame, rosewood Raptor grips three dot (green) Meprolight and night sights. This recoil operated semi-automatic is chambered in .45 auto caliber with polished blue steel frame. The length of this pistol is 8.7-in with 5-in barrel. Kimber pistols are equipped with above-standard with tuning elements offered by other manufacturers only for an additional fee. The 1911 type weapons are by far the most successful design of a short weapon.
