About HS HS-2000
The HS Produkt d.o.o. is a Croatian firearms manufacturer, well known for its modern design and production of reliable pistols. The first models of the HS pistol line were PHP and HS 95. In mid 2001 was signed a long term contract with the American company Springfield Inc, which is the main representative of the HS Produkt at the North American marketplace.
The HS-2000 is a semi-automatic pistol, chambered with 9mm ammunition. It has been designed by the Croatian company HS Produkt for the Croatian army, it was the major design for its producing. This model was introduced to the market during late 1990s. In 1999 the production of the HS2000 pistol started, with the first pistols which being delivered to the Croatian army at the same year. These pistols appeared for the first time in the US in 2000. The first pistols were imported under their original name as the HS2000. The The HS-2000 is also equipped with a cocked striker indicator which protrudes from the rear of the slide when the striker is cocked. Besides this there is also a loaded chamber indicator pivots up at the top of the slide when a round is in the chamber being both visual and tactile.
