About Browning Hi-Power Practical

John Browning, founder of the Browning Arms Company, who was the inventor of the semi-automatic rifle, over-and-under shotgun and semi-automatic shotgun established a company that has left its mark on the history of gun-producing with a wide range of gun models. The Browning company employs approximately 210 people at its Utah headquarters, including also research and some light manufacturing operations. Since the year 1897, when the first Browning’s gun was successfully made, millions of pistols, rifles and shotguns for military use, hunting or sports shooting have been designed and manufactured by the Browning company.

The Browning Hi-Power Practical is a single-action, semi-automatic handgun chambered in 9mm and .40 caliber.  It is based on a design by American firearms inventor John Browning, and completed by Dieudonné Saive. Browning died in 1926, several years before the design was finalized. The Browning HiPower Practical is one of the most widely used military pistols in history. The Standard Browning High Power Practical pistols are based on a single-action design. Unlike modern double-action semi-automatic pistols, the Browning Hi Power Practical trigger is not connected to the hammer. The Browning HP Practical has a barrel length of 4.63 inches. The Browning HP Practical has a great feature set: a receiver of machined steel with a black epoxy finish, a 4 5/8" barrel, high profile fixed sights. The Hi-Power Practical offers an excellent design. Since the early 1990s it has been a little eclipsed by more modern designs that were often double-action and were manufactured using more modern methods than Browning’s Hi-Power. This model remains in service throughout the whole world. In 2007, the MK1 version of the Hi-Power Practical remained the standard service pistol of the Canadian Forces. The Hi-Power modern version is the standard sidearm of the Belgian Army, Israeli Police, Australian Defence Force, Argentine Army, Indian Army, Indonesian Armed Forces, Venezuelan Army, Singapore Armed Forces and Luxembourg Army, among many others.

What makes a great Browning Hi-Power Practical Holster?

A perfect Browning  Hi-Power Practical  holster holds your firearm without the need of a retention strap. The natural retention of each material takes care of it and you can even hold the scabbard upside down without the firearm falling off. Or you can rely on the retention strap which can have several levels of retention. Another treat of a great  Hi-Power Practical gunholster are smooth edges on the outside. This way the holster stays protected from abrasions, scratches or any other intrusive surfaces that it may stumble upon. A perfect finish of a holster is another feature. A Browning Hi-Power Practical holster keeps dust, moisture and water away. Taking care of your holster is an important thing and there are many options including break-in or adjustment. Browning Hi-Power Practical holsters can come in a large variety of materials and carry styles that will allow you an easy draw and re-holstering while being comfortable at all times.
