Cross Draw Holsters for 1911 4.25 Inch

How To Choose The Best Cross Draw Holster For Your 1911 1911 - 4.25"

When you're shopping for a new Cross Draw holster for you.1911 1911 - 4.25", knowing exactly what you want matters. If you've narrowed it down to a Cross Draw holster, you're already on the right path. Below, we’ll walk you through why this carry style might be the ideal fit, how to find the best model for your body type and setup, and what materials and add-ons to consider.

Why Choose a Cross Draw Holster?

Cross draw holsters are designed for those who prioritise comfort while seated and prefer an alternative draw angle. Worn on the opposite side of your dominant hand, this carry style allows you to reach across your body to draw your firearm.

Ideal for seated carry

Cross draw holsters are excellent for drivers or individuals who spend long periods sitting. The placement allows for easy access to your 1911 1911 - 4.25" without interference from seatbelts or armrests.

Natural draw motion

The cross-body draw is intuitive for many users, especially those with limited shoulder mobility. It provides a smooth, sweeping motion that can feel more comfortable than a straight-side draw.

Great for open carry and concealment

While cross draw is often used for open carry, with the right cover garment, it can also work effectively for concealed carry, especially when worn slightly forward of the hip.

Keeps firearm away from dominant side activities

For users who carry tools, radios, or other gear on their dominant side, cross draw keeps the firearm accessible without interfering with other equipment.

Suitable for specific defensive scenarios

Cross draw carry can be advantageous in retention scenarios where the firearm is protected by your arms and body angle, making it harder for others to grab.

Whether you’re looking for a comfortable seated carry option or prefer the cross-body draw motion, a cross draw holster provides a practical and accessible way to carry your 1911 1911 - 4.25".

Cross draw is my favorite position to carry in. I have a few different ones (because of gun models) and this is my favorite, by far!!! It's lightweight, it's very well made, and it's comfortable. The thumb strap is stiff, but will get better with time. Carrying my Tisas Stringray and Sig Nightmare 1911s has become very enjoyable. I will be buying again!!
