Magnum Research in collaboration with Israel Weapons Industries is responsible for the creation and manufacturing of the world renowned Desert Eagle pistol which was designed 1985. The Magnum Research Desert Eagle 1911 - 5’’ is a single-action, gas-operated semi-automatic pistol developed by Magnum Research Inc., an American manufacturer recently purchased by the Kahr Arms. The Desert Eagle 1911 - 5’’ entered the production way back in 1979, but the first version featured a longer 6’’ barrel and was known mainly for the use of the strongest handgun caliber - .44 Magnum. The Magnum Research Desert Eagle was popularized mainly by its inclusion in many video games and there’s probably no one who hasn’t heard of this pistol yet. The frame of modern versions of the Desert Eagle 1911 - 5’’ is made of brushed chromed steel and the grips are usually made of black plastic. The Magnum Research Desert Eagle 1911 - 5’’ features a full-sized 5’’ barrel and the pistol is nowadays chambered in the popular .45 ACP cartridge. The Desert Eagle 1911 - 5’’ comes with a single stack magazine that can be loaded with up to 8 rounds of ammo.
