i bought this holster because i drive for a living, and wanted something comfortable and accessible while i was seated wearing a seat belt. i carry an older beretta 85BB, and this holster works very well for that medium-framed pistol. i can position it over my left thigh (i am right handed) and run the seat belt strap underneath the holster. in this position the weapon is accessible but does not press into my upper leg. easily drawn, in the cross draw position. the thumb break can be snapped open quickly. break-in was mostly unnecessary. the gun fit tightly and correctly, but i soaked it in 70 percent isopropyl alcohol overnight to help the fit. the holster is continuing to break in to my carry position and after two weeks has settled in fairly well. one nit. the beretta has an ambidextrous safety lever, and during the course of normal movements the inner leather layer of the holster is flexible enough to transfer downward pressure to the left side safety lever and flick it off. this occurs during slight seated movement and so i have made it a habit to check the safety whenever i stand up and sit down. the beretta 85BB is carried in half-cock, with a round in the chamber, and even with the safety off it requires almost a full double-action trigger pull to fire. so this is a nit, not a serious problem. it could be fixed by using a stiffer leather for the inner layer that would not flex over the safety lever as easily, or by enlarging or adding to the metal reinforcement of the thumb break to provide an inflexible layer between the safety lever and the inner leather of the holster. all in all, an excellent choice if you want to carry one of these older pistols and you spend a lot of time seated. craft holsters estimated a 5-week delivery time and the holster was delivered to my mailbox in 5 weeks plus one day. good communication throughout the process. as long as they stay in business i will look to them first for holsters,, belts, and magazine pouches.
