About Springfield 1911 Mil-Spec - 5"
The Springfield Mil-Spec 5 inch barrel is a variation of the Springfield Mil-Spec 1911 series. It’s a recoil operated, semi-automatic single-action pistol with a .45 ACP or .38 Super caliber. The frame of the Springfield Mil Spec is made of steel with different finishes according to the variation of the gun and the grips are manufactured this way as well.

Recently purchased, break in hasn't been fully completed. However I don't feel it needs much of a break in. 1911 mil spec fit just perfectly. Breaking in around the thumbsnap for the holster needs quite a bit of attention or maybe my thumb needs to toughen up. I do however think that maybe the belt clips should have a snap to store away instead of having to completely remove those straps. But overall I am happy with my purchase. I was looking at it for sometime before pulling the trigger. Should've done it sooner.

I didn’t realize this was cocked and locked position on my 1911 mil spec 45, holster fits very good, the snap on the top strap is almost impossible to un snap with one hand and because of this I wish I would have ordered the quick draw
