About Tanfoglio TZ-75
The Tanfoglio TZ-75 is a recoil-operated, double/single-action, semi automatic pistol developed by Fratelli Tanfoglio S.N.C., a popular Italian firearms manufacturer. Just like the pistol’s name suggests, the Tanfoglio Model TZ75 is based on the design of one of the most popular single-action semi autos ever produced, the CZ 75. The Tanfoglio TZ-75 was first introduced in the early 1980’s, and the pistol originally didn’t feature the firing pin safety found in the CZ pistols. However, towards the end of the 80’s, Tanfoglio introduced an updated version of their CZ clone, which they named the Tanfoglio Model TZ-75 Series 88 as they reverted to the CZ-standard frame-mounted manual thumb safety that was considered far more ergonomic.
The Tanfoglio TZ75 is a full-sized pistol with an overall length of 8 inches and a 4.5 inches long barrel. The Tanfoglio TZ-75 features a double-stack magazine and it comes in two different versions, one chambered for the 9mm Luger and the other for the .40 S&W. Both versions are pretty much identical, the only difference being the magazine capacity. The Tanfoglio TZ-75 chambered for the 9x19mm Parabellum takes in 15 rounds of ammo, whilst the .40 S&W version can be loaded with up to 13 rounds of ammo.
