About STI GP6
STI International, Inc is a well known Texas- based company. The company was founded in 1990 by Virgil Smith, gunsmith and mechanic, who started to build 1911 for competition use. In 1993 a hi-capacity 1911 frame for IPSC shooters had been revolutionized by Virgil Tripp along with a computer aided design (CAD) specialist named Sandy Strayer. After introducing the frame to the market and receiving a patent for it, Strayer and Tripp changed the company’s name to STI (Strayer-Tripp Inc.) and changed the focus of the company on building custom pistols solely.
The STI GP6 has been developed by Jaroslav Kuracina. In 2007, STI has made a deal with Kuracina’s company to produce 100,000 units of this gun under the commercial name GP-5. This gun uses a locking system which employs a rotating barrel lock cammed by a cross pin. It is a short recoil operated gun, the specifications are: barrel length 4.3 in, width 1.6 in and height 5.3 in. It has a 9x19mm Parabellum cartridge and the magazine can hold 17 rounds. The sights are fixed, composed of a front blade and an adjustable rear notch. The gun is made of polymer, it’s lighter and transfers less recoil.

What Makes a Great Nylon STI GP6 Holster
A perfect STI GP-6 Nylon holster holds your firearm without the need of a retention strap. The natural retention of each material takes care of it and you can even hold the scabbard upside down without the firearm falling of. Or you can rely on the retention strap which can have several levels of retention. Another treat of a great STI GP-6 Nylon gunholster are smooth edges on the outside. This way the holster stays protected from abrasions, scratches or any other intrusive surfaces that it may stumble upon. A perfect finish of a STI GP-6 holster is another feature. A finished holster keeps dust, moisture and water away. Taking care of your holster is a important thing and there are many options including break-in or adjustment.
