About Steyr C9-A1
The Steyr Mannlicher is a firearms producer that is based in Sankt Ulrich bei Steyr in Austria. Based on a centuries of old tradition in producing firearms, the Austrian gunsmith Josef Werndl founded the company in 1864.
The Steyr C9-A1 is a striker-fired, semi-automatic pistol, that is known for its low bore axis, which reduces felt recoil and improves control. The natural grip angle combined with the renowned trapezoidal sights allow for faster and more accurate target acquisition. The polymer frame is designed with the best grip ergonomics in mind, and all metal surfaces are coated with Steyr’s patented Mannox* finish. With a fully supported chamber, trigger safety, drop safety and lock out key, the A1 pistol line sets a standard for safety and reliability. The Steyr C9A1 is chambered in 9mm and has a barrel length of 3.6 Inches.
What makes a great Open Carry Steyr C9-A1 Holster?
A well made, custom Steyr C9-A1 Open Carry holster will hold your firearm even if it doesn’t come with a safety strap. The glove-like fit and high natural retention are a result of your new Steyr C9-A1 holster being molded on the exact replica of your pistol. Thanks to the way your new holster is made, your handgun will not fall out of the holster even if you decide to carry your rig upside down (although we advise you not to carry this way). However, if you want to get as much retention as possible, feel free to choose from our selection of Steyr C9-A1 Open Carry holsters equipped with a thumb-break strap.
On the other hand, a perfect fit isn’t the only thing a great holster should deliver. A great Steyr C9-A1 Open Carry holster should also come with smooth edges and meticulous stitching. Such features help to protect the holster from abrasion, scratches, wear as well as prevent it from taking any damage should it come in contact with rough surfaces. A great Steyr C9-A1 Open Carry holster also comes with a perfect finish, which keeps it protected from dust and moisture. However, in order to ensure longevity and perfect condition of even the best holster, you should regularly take care of your Steyr C9-A1 Open Carry holster through proper holster maintenance.
