About Springfield XDE - 3.8"
The original institution was founded in 1777 by the direct order of George Washington in Springfield, Massachusetts. The purpose was to store revolutionary ammunition and gun carriages for a rising nation. The Armory began producing arms in 1794 and had been producing them until 1968 when the U.S. Government closed it.
Springfield XDE - 3.8’’ is a single/double-action semi-automatic pistol. This pistol is ideal for everyday carry and its slim profile allows for easy concealment. A great feature of the Springfield XDE - 3.8’’ is that it can be carried “cocked and locked”. Its ambidextrous manual safety can be engaged for optimal speed or the hammer can be simply left at rest. The first double-action shot requires an intentional and slightly longer trigger pull for increased safety while carrying and drawing. Once the first shot has been fired, the Springfield XDE - 3.8’’ reverts to a single-action pistol. This results in improved accuracy and faster, more controllable follow-up shooting. The Springfield XDE - 3.8’’ has a barrel of 3.8’’ and it relies on the use of 9x19mm Parabellum cartridges. Its single stack magazine can take from 8 to 9 rounds of ammo and is made of stainless steel.
