The New Model Super Blackhawk was first introduced back in 1973 and it’s pretty much a modern variant of the popular western single-action-only revolvers. The Ruger New Super Blackhawk was specifically designed for the .44 Remington Magnum cartridge. However, there are versions of the revolver chambered for different calibers available too.
This version of the Ruger New Model Super Blackhawk features a 5.5 inches long barrel and the pistol’s overall length is 11.38 inches. This 6-shot revolver is chambered for the .44 Remington Magnum cartridge. The frame of the New Super Blackhawk is made of blued alloy steel and the pistol features beautiful rosewood grips. The Ruger New Model Super Blackhawk - 5.5’’ comes with a ramp front and adjustable rear sights system. The pistol also features a patented Ruger transfer bar safety mechanism and loading gate interlock. The variations of the Ruger New Super Blackhawk come with fluted or unfluted cylinder, and squared or rounded trigger guard.
