About PS 97
The PS is a firearm producing company located in Slovakia. The PS or Povazske Strojarne was founded in 1929 in a Slovak town of Povazska Bystrica as a part of the Czechoslovak Armoury based in the Czech town of Brno. This company has quite long history and been a significant part of the Slovak industry for many years. This company has been currently in a difficult situation and is stagnating. In general production of the PS declines and not only production of firearms but also each other part of its production.
This recoil semi operated pistol is chambered in 6 mm (.22) flobert caliber. The barrel is pressed into the original barrel, which is secured against removal by a non-detachable joint - weld. The flobert cartridge (6 mm F ME / .22 F) is inserted into the reduction in the form of a cartridge case of the original caliber, behind the flobert cartridge is inserted into the reduction converter of central ignition to the edge. The trigger and drum mechanism is original, unchanged. After adjusting to the flobert, the weapon fires in a bolt-action manner (repeated charging from the magazine and ejection of fired ammunition by pulling the breech). The barrel length of this model is 4.5-in.
