About Les Baer Premier II - 5"
Les Baer was founded in 1991 in Hillsdale, Illinois by Les Baer Sr. The company is famous for producing premium quality 1911 semi-autos. After Illinois started to implement restrictive gun laws the company moved to Iowa. Les Baer is one of two pistol manufacturers (the other being S&W) authorized to use and display Clint Smith’s Thunder Ranch logo and currently offers a line of pistols and rifles that use the name.
Baer Premier pistols feature match steel frame, slide and barrel with stainless bushing. The double serrated slide is fitted to the frame. Additional features include a low mount LCB adjustable sight with hidden rear leaf and dovetail front sight, a lowered and flared ejection port, tuned and polished extractor, extended ejector, checkered slide stop, speed trigger with crisp 4 lb pull, deluxe Commander hammer and sear, beavertail grip safety with pad, flat serrated mainspring housing, beveled mag well, polished feed ramp and throated barrel, extended ambi safety, high checkered front strap 30 lpi, premium checkered Cocobola grips and blued finish. The length of this model 8.7-in with 5-in barrel. This model is available in .38 Super caliber, .45 Auto caliber, 10 mm and .400 CorBon caliber.
