The Les Baer Monolith Commanche Heavyweight - 4.25’’ was introduced as a “smaller brother” of the Les Baer Monolith - 5’’, a model based on the famous M1911 semi-auto pistols. The frame of the Les Baer Monolith Commanche Heavyweight - 4.25’’ is made of blued finish steel and the grips are made of checkered cocobolo. The Les Baer Monolith Commanche Heavyweight - 4.25’’ features a 4.25’’ long barrel and the pistol can be chambered in by a variety of calibers - 9x19mm Parabellum, .38 Special, and probably the most popular 1911 caliber, the .45 ACP. The Les Baer Monolith Commanche Heavyweight - 4.25’’ comes with a single stack magazine that can be loaded with up to 8 rounds of ammo, which applies to all the calibers it can be fed with. The Les Baer Monolith Commanche Heavyweight - 4.25’’ also comes with 3-dot Tritium night sights. The Les Baer Monolith Commanche Heavyweight - 4.25’’ can work as an everyday concealed carry weapon as it’s a bit smaller than a full sized 1911, but it’s also a great competitive shooting handgun and one of the best home-defense guns out there.
