About Kimber Aegis Elite - 3"
The Kimber Manufacturing is one of the most successful American firearm producer that is specializing in manufacturing, design and also distribution of various small arms such as the Solo pistols, M1911 pistols and rifles. The Kimber company has been producing firearms since the 1979, when this company was known as “Kimber of Oregon” and focused in accurate .22 rifles.
This model is a version of the Aegis model line with a 3-inch Bull match grade barrel centered to the end without the aid of bushing. It is offered in 9 mm Luger and .45 ACP calibers. With a caliber of 9 mm L, an 8-round magazine is standard, in the .45 ACP caliber, a weapon with a capacity of 7 rounds is supplied with the weapon. The entire weapon except the frame is made of stainless steel. The frame is made of aluminum alloy, as a result of which they also have a significantly lower weight compared to all-steel versions. In this case, these are blocks of alloy aviation aluminum 7075-T7, from which the frames are made by machining.
