About Kahr P45
The Kahr P45 is a semi-automatic, striker-fired locked-breech designs, relying on a modification of its dropping-barrel system with a lug just above the chamber locking the barrel into the roof of its slide. The true double-action only triggers are designed to thoroughly cock and fire a pistol, allowing a re-fire operation on a miss-fired round without racking its slide. As the other models mentioned, the Kahr P .45 cal triggers use a slide-assisted cocking action that removes much of the weight and even the length of the trigger pull. The result of the P45 model is that the trigger cannot cock the striker on its own, which is practically more like a single-action trigger.
